STUREC© Utilities for Windows NTIf you are having problems running STUREC© on Windows NT/2000/XP, or the 'External Printer Interface' won't work, please download and install these small helper programs. These utilities are installed just like the regular STUREC© updates -- with the obvious exception of a different file name. Before you begin:This utility package contains a file called STUREC.BAT If there is already a file called sturec.bat in the STUREC© folder, you should make a backup of that file before proceeding. Step 1: Verify STUREC's locationBefore you even begin the download, make sure you know where your STUREC© is located in your computer system! To find out, start STUREC© in the normal manner. With the Main Menu on the screen, press Alt-V to pop-up the Version Info screen. It should look like this.
Make a note of the Default Directory then press <space> to close the pop-up. Step 2: Download the softwareClick here to begin the download. A moment or two later, you should see the standard Save As... dialog (you may have to select "Save File" from an intermediary dialog first),
Step 3: Run the InstallerOpen the 'My Computer' icon and navigate to the folder where STUREC© is installed. Once the correct folder is open, find the ntutils file and double-click it. Step 4: Create a new shortcutRefresh the file listing, and find the STUREC.bat file. Using the Right mouse button, drag the STUREC.bat file out to a clear area of your Windows Desktop, and release the mouse button. Select 'Create Shortcut Here' from the pop-up menu. Done!From now on, use the new icon to launch STUREC© The old icon can be safely dropped in the 'Recycle Bin'. |
